Security, in plain words
No one can read your vault. Not even us.
Most apps promise not to look at your information. Parampara is built so that we simply cannot.
How your vault stays private.
When you save something, it is locked on your own phone before it ever leaves. The key that unlocks it is made from a secret phrase that only you know, and it never leaves your device.
Locked before it is saved
Your information is scrambled on your phone first. What reaches our servers cannot be read by anyone, including us.
The key is yours alone
The key comes from your secret phrase, which stays on your phone. We never get it, so we can never open your vault.
Nothing to sell, nothing to leak
Because we cannot read your data, there is nothing for us to sell and nothing useful for a thief to steal.
What we can see
Almost nothing. On purpose.
We can see your email address, so you can sign in and we can reach you. That is it. The things inside your vault, the account numbers, the policies, the papers, are locked away from us by design.
If you ever forget
You are not locked out.
The day you start, we give you a recovery code. Keep it somewhere safe, a drawer, a trusted family member, and you always have a way back in. No one else does.
Straight answers about safety.
Can Parampara staff see my vault?
No. Your vault is locked with a key made from your secret phrase, and that phrase stays on your phone. We never receive it, so there is nothing for us to open.
What if there is a data breach?
Even if someone got into our systems, they would find only scrambled data they cannot read. The key to unlock it is on your phone, not on our servers.
What if I forget my secret phrase?
You get a recovery code the day you start. Keep it safe, and you can always get back in. If you lose both your phrase and your recovery code, not even we can open the vault. That is the trade-off of real privacy.
Is my data stored in India?
Yes. Your information is kept on servers in India, and the app is aligned with India's DPDP Act.
Privacy you can actually trust.
Free to start. Your vault, and no one else's business.
